MY STORY

Geebz, a budding rose out of the concrete of hip hop music, has independently created a project packed with 15 tracks. "Don't Hold the Juice", released September 7, explores the importance of following your heart while belaboring the hardships of the journey.
Hailing from Greensboro, North Carolina, the influence of J. Cole is clear. The elaborate storytelling proceeded by soul-touching melodic bridges are reminiscent of  "Lost Ones" and Lauryn Hill's "To Zion". This love-joy gospel infused project has touches of Donnie McClurkin, Fred Hammond, Chance the Rapper, Kendrick Lamar and even Tori Kelly.

Songs like "We Ain't They" and "Another Nigga" are clear in exemplifying the heart of an MC, while "336" and "Never Been Worried" demonstrate Geebz's mastery to craft a song. "Future Wifey", a standout of the project, leans of the vibe of Tori Kelly's "Dear No One" while celebrating the journey of discovering 'the One'.

Throughout "Don't Hold the Juice", Geebz remains true to the idea that everyone is on Earth for a particular purpose and our job is to discover it and put it out into the World. Drawing references from "The Alchemist", Geebz manages to convey through 15 juice-filled tracks that "There is only one thing that makes a dream impossible to achieve: the fear of failure."
